In “The Beats, Dubrovnik and Yugoslav Freighters” by Vojo Sindolic, pp. 10-13, discusses Burroughs’ time in Dubrovnik in 1936 and 1937.

A review by Michael Kearns of Rub Out the Words: The Letters of William S. Burroughs 1959-1974, edited by Bill Morgan, is at page 22. This has an uncredited photo of Burroughs by Lufti Özkök.
