Beat Scene, Issue 115, Summer 2026

The inside front cover of this issue has a photograph of William S. Burroughs with a person identified as Hal Willner. This is actually a picture of Howard Brookner with Burroughs (by Paula Court, not credited). William Burroughs (and Brion Gysin) are discussed in Rebecca Roach’s “Endless Talk: Beat Writers and the Interview Form,” pp. 25–36, particularly in the context of the Cut-Up method, tape recorder experiments, and self-interviewing, at pages 31–33. This includes images of Burroughs and Gysin. On page 61, Brian Dalton reviews William Burroughs in Context , edited by Oliver Harris, Davis Schneiderman, and Alex Wermer-Colan. There are additional, minor mentions of Burroughs in other articles. Published in Binley Woods, England, by Beat Scene Press in the summer of 2026.
