This includes a letter to the editor by William S. Burroughs discussing the value of neutering cats. 

As Jeff Taylor pointed out in the Facebook Burroughs & Associates group, this mentions an event involving Burroughs' cat that is further discussed in The Cat Inside, on pages 84–88 of the Viking Press edition.

I rarely entertain the idea of managing photocopies of articles in the archives, but it is tricky to source an original copy; plus, it is an interesting bit of Burroughs writing, and it formerly belonged to Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books (Massachusetts, US). Received as a gift. 

 

This included the response to Burroughs' letter from a less cat-friendly neighbor, from a later issue of the paper.
