Thomas Clark interviews Allen Ginsberg in this issue, pages 12–55. In this, William S. Burroughs is discussed at pages 17–19, mentioning Burroughs' first written work with Kells Elvins [“Twilight’s Last Gleamings,” here called “So Proudly We Hail”], the book Burroughs wrote with Jack Kerouac [And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks], on the writing of Junkie, on his perception of Burroughs, and on censorship.
This was published in New York City by The Paris Review in Spring of 1966.
