Contains "The New Mutants" by Leslie A. Fielder, pp. 505-525, an essay on "futurist literature" which mentions William Burroughs and The Naked Lunch at different points and ends with a quote from Burroughs at page 525.

"'This war will be won in the air. In the Silent Air with Image Rays. You were a pilot remember? Tracer bullets cutting the right wing you were free in space a few seconds before in blue space between eyes. Go back to Silence. Keep Silence. Keep Silence. K.S. K.S. . . . The Naked Astronauts were free in space. . . ."
