The Sleazy Reader, Issue 7, February 2018

Contains "That Book: The History of Junkie, One of the Rarest Paperbacks" by Justin Marriott, pp. 14-21. Also contains "Junkie: A Personal Reminiscence" by Jeff Chambers, pp. 22-29. Multiple reproductions of Burroughs book covers.

Not completely convinced that the Ace D-15 paperback is so rare, given that at least 113,000 were sold (according to M&M). Certainly there are fewer remaining, and even fewer in fine shape. The Digit Junkie, however, is very rare.

"A Personal Reminiscence" makes a conjecture that Burroughs used the pen-name Akbar del Piombo, as an author of books for Olympia; Burroughs himself denied that association.

Published in San Bernadino, CA, by Createspace for Justin Marriott in February 2018.

The Jeff Chambers article originates from Collecting Paperbacks?, Volume 3, Number 3, c.1981.
