Alpha Beat Soup, Number 6, Winter 1989-1990

Burroughs contributes "Dream Voices of Technical Tilly", p. 30, within a section of previously unpublished works by multiple Beat authors from the collection of Yugoslav poet and translator Vojo Sindolic entitled "Too Beat to Split".

There is also mention of Burroughs in Carl Solomon's leading essay:

"[T]he local yokels ('the unhip') continued to repeat such bloopers as 'William Burrourghs [sic] was really Abe Burrows['] and [']Allen Ginsberg was not the author of HOWL (unheard of amid the noise) but was the publisher of 'EROS' magazine and his first name was Ralph'"

"There is still the widespread belief, on certain social levels, that William Burroughs is a Jewish comedian and that Allen Ginsberg is not the author of HOWL"

Published in Montréal, Quebec, Canada by Alpha Beat Press in late 1989. This copy includes a letter from editor Dave Christy to poet/artist Henry Denander along with advertisements for other Alpha Beat Press items. Bibliographic Information:
