Time, Volume 80, Number 22, November 30, 1962

Includes "King of the YADS", a particularly mean-spirited review generally of The Naked Lunch and specifically, personally, of Burroughs.  This prompted Burroughs, from England where he was living, to sue Time for libel, filing a suit in March 1963.  Burroughs won a paltry five pounds and five shillings in the judgment, and was prohibited by court from reading an open statement that he had prepared.  This article includes a fine photo of Burroughs by Nicolas Tikhomiroff.

Note that this issue's cover was employed in the cover of the book Time by Burroughs and Gysin in 1965, a bit of a middle-finger back to the magazine and the review.
